PPSU MED Sheet

PPSU MED Sheet (Medical Grade Polyphenylsulfone Sheet) is a high-performance engineering plastic designed for applications requiring high temperature resistance, hydrolysis stability, and repeated sterilization. It can withstand repeated autoclave sterilization at 134°C while maintaining mechanical integrity and structural stability, making it suitable for reusable medical devices.

The material offers a continuous service temperature of approximately 180°C and a heat deflection temperature above 200°C. It maintains excellent dimensional stability under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. With outstanding hydrolysis resistance, PPSU MED sheets perform reliably in steam and moist environments, making them suitable for sterilization systems and related components.

PPSU MED also features high impact strength and toughness, enabling its use in complex geometries and thin-wall components. It provides good electrical insulation and meets UL94 V-0 flame retardant standards, supporting applications where safety and insulation are required.

The material is compatible with various machining processes, including CNC machining, milling, turning, drilling, and thermoforming. It is available in multiple thicknesses and colors, such as natural (amber), black, and custom options.

Typical applications include medical device housings, sterilization trays, surgical instrument components, fluid handling systems, and high-temperature sterilization parts. Material selection should be based on actual operating conditions such as temperature, environment, and mechanical load.
